CD projects

Do you guys have a compact disk to give out or sell?  Strangely we have been getting asked that for years.  The answer has always been sorry no we don’t. It was something we were never entirely comfortable with, well until now. Towards the end of last year we discussed that it might be fun to put something together and agreed that any money raised from sold CD’s would go to charity. Has there ever been a better time to do a bit for charity? Our plan is.. ALL of the profits from say… 500 hundred CDs At 10 pound each  Would be 5000 for charity.Currently we are over half way through the project having recorded 7 songs. We decided stay away from previous Scooby Snax covers and instead take a new angle on songs we had never tried before. So far we have stuck to this plan with the exception of, 'There she goes' which could be described as a sort of cool chilled version. Progress has been slow but we are happy with the sound of most the songs so far.All recording is being done at my own small recording studio room to save costs, but Oneill’s have very generously agreed to fund the CD production & mastering cost. We hope to have it ready for Christmas this year. Any suggestions are very welcome so please let us know.  We also hope to encourage a few other musicians to get involved.

If anyone is willing to assist in the distribution this would be much appreciated. Please keep posted about the CD and let anyone else know that might be interested. Alternatively sign the guest book and input your email, then we can let you know of any updates.

Well.....

All recording is done.

12 songs in all.

But we have hit a stumbling block rightv at the end.

We have been unable to finalise the production costs funding and we now have to find some other way of producing 500 copies. Unless we get a phone call in the next few weeks. All along this was a plan to make money for charity, but it's all went a bit Pete Tong as they say. It might come down to it that the whole thing is put on the back burner yet again. Will this ****ing CD ever be ready. Who knows.
